The name of this lovely village ŠILO, is a frequent metaphor about the soil, the horn spreading into the sea. “ŠILO” is the name of a sharp tool used for the piercing. Šiloalso means the peak, the horn. Who knows, the name might come from the beautiful horn protecting the bay, or even the metaphor for the progress our village has made in its tourism history…
